Hand Forged Bowls

Steel bowls, forged by hand at my anvil in Slad, near Stroud.
One in the range right now — a heart bowl at £40. The hammer marks are left on the surface on purpose, because that texture is the evidence of how it was made. It will hold rings, earrings, coins, a tea light, or whatever collects by the front door.
When the forging is finished the bowl is hot-waxed with pure beeswax. That gives the steel a little protection and a darkened colour that catches the light on the raised bits.
No two come out the same, which is the nature of forging rather than pressing.
Bowls are a satisfying thing to make, so there will be more. If you would like one in a particular size, email me.
