Please note that as all my products are hand forged, there may be slight variations in size, shape, style and colour. You’r buying a truly hand forged item, and as such, this variation is natural.
These stunning hooks are hand forged from 6mm steel bar, and are ideal for hanging small items such as keys. Note that larger hooks are available (or can be forged by hand specifically for your needs if required). The hand forged hooks are finished with a hot-wax of pure beeswax, which affords the steel a little protection (though they are meant for indoors only), and gives a stunning darkened colour.
The process of making one hook includes turning round bar into square bar on the anvil using a hand hammer, tapering, re-rounding, scrolling, reverse scrolling, squaring the rest of the hook, twisting, reverse-twisting, then spreading the end with the hammer ready for the screw hole, and then drilling.
