Hand Forged Cross Pendant With Copper Rivets

A forged cross pendant with copper rivets, made at my anvil near Stroud.

The cross itself is forged and beaten from steel and left rustic rather than polished smooth. The rivets are copper, and I make those myself as well — drawn down by hand from copper round bar, because I work with copper as much as steel.

Each one is forged separately, so the hammer marks and the exact shape differ a little from piece to piece. That is rather the point of having one.
