Ever wanted to try your hand at blacksmithing? Here’s your chance to dive into the world of fire, hammer, and steel in a fun, beginner-friendly experience.

We’ll start the day with a hot drink and a relaxed chat about health & safety. Then, it’s off to the forge to practice the techniques used by blacksmiths for centuries. At first you’ll practise on offcuts of steel just to learn a few basic techniques, then your first creation will be a classic: a forged hook. This will require several techniques, from drawing out a taper, to scrolling to twisting.

After a break, you’ll have some freedom to choose your next project (from a list of options I suggest and have stock for), with several options to inspire your creativity. And the best part? You get to take everything you make home!

Our small group size (maximum 4 participants) ensures you get plenty of one-on-one guidance from me. We’ll wrap up by 5 PM, but if you need a bit more time to complete your project, we’ll happily stay a little longer (within reason!)
