Ever wondered what it’s like to forge iron by hand? Join us for a full day of blacksmithing where heritage meets hands-on fun!

We’ll kick things off at 10 AM with a cup of tea or coffee while we chat through health and safety – all in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. After that, it’s time to roll up your sleeves and start learning some real blacksmithing techniques. You’ll get comfortable with the tools, at first practising a few techniques, and then by crafting your first piece – a traditional hook, featuring tapering, scrolling, twisting and more.

Once your hook is complete, you’ll dive back in with the chance to choose from a few different items to forge. Want to try your hand at more? No problem! If you work fast, you might get to forge a few extra items to take home as mementos of your day. The goal is for everyone to have at last 2 pieces to take home, if not more.

With a small group size of no more than 4 participants, you’ll have plenty of personalized guidance from the blacksmith. The day runs until 5 PM, but don’t worry – if you’re still putting the finishing touches on your masterpiece, we can stay a bit longer to make sure you walk away proud of your creation.

Come get your hands dirty, learn an ancient craft, and take home something you’ve made with your own hands. This isn’t just a blacksmithing session; it’s an experience you won’t forget – Especially if you’ve never had a go at blacksmithing before.
